IGL company outing to St. Johann in Tirol
The IGL team took the opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our managing director Andreas Santner’s employment with us. We put a lot of thought into planning the trip and where it should take us, until we came across the destination of St. Johann in Tirol.
After a short bus ride, we arrived at our desired destination around lunchtime – and what could be better than a hearty meal and freshly brewed beer in the beer tower of the Huber-Bräu. It was a special pleasure to meet our long-standing customers from TVB St. Johann in Tirol there – many of our office staff only knew them from the many phone calls and now we got to meet them in person.
We would like to thank Martina Foidl and Oskar Reisenbauer, who saved our afternoon programme. Originally, we wanted to test the mountain carts, but the route was closed due to the heavy thunderstorms of the previous days. However, the two experienced tourism professionals were quickly able to organise an alternative programme at the HORNPARK climbing forest.
After the adrenaline rush programme, with statements like ‘IT’S JUST ABOUT SURVIVAL…’, we walked over hill and dale towards our hostel, the Pointenhof on the Kitzbüheler Horn. During the hike through the forest, our guest of honour did not hunt any game, but he did find a small haul of chanterelles, which he had professionally prepared for dinner.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we were treated to the highest art of Austrian hospitality by the hostel father Hans Mettler. No culinary, epicurean, alcoholic or musical wish was denied us, so that we felt so comfortable that we turned the hight into day to celebrate our birthday boy Andreas Santner once again!
All in all, the company outing will certainly remain in our memories for a long time to come – whether it’s because of the increased adrenaline levels from the trip to the climing garden, an improvised waltz and foxtrot course, an adventurous morning mushroom hunt or simple because we enjoy the hours with the team!
